Wales and Great Britain sprinter Jamie Baulch has exclusively told the Sporting Wales blog that he’s learned his bronze medal from the 2003 World Indoor Championships has been upgraded to a silver.
It’s the second time this year Baulch has seen one of his medals upgraded after the disqualification of a competitor.
In January this year Baulch’s 1997 World Championship silver in the 4x400m relay was boosted to a gold after American Antonio Pettigrew admitted using a banned substance.
But this time there is an air of the unknown as to who has dropped out with no offical statement released by the sports governing body, the IAAF.
It is understood that other memebers of the 2003 Great Britain have already received their medals in the post – a far cry from hearing their national anthem on the podium.

Good on him, he was a grafter and it is just a shame these cheats have taken away what would have been an even prouder moment in his career!
